‘Vikram Vedha’ is a film that movie lovers don’t need an introduction to. This Tamil action-drama which came out in 2017 was a huge hit at the box office. It was praised by almost everyone and Vijay Sethupathi stole the show as Vedha. Madhavan gave an equally strong performance too and it was one of the biggest hits of that year.
Ever since it was released, the news about its Hindi remake took over the headlines. A lot of names were attached to this project but nothing materialized. Finally, this remake offer landed in the hands of Greek God Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan. They started shooting for this remake a couple of months back. Pushkar and Gayathri who made the original took the responsibility of handling the remake too.
The shooting of the Hindi remake has finally been wrapped up and the news was officially announced by the cast members. Hrithik took to Twitter and wrote, “As we called it a wrap on set, my mind is flooded with all the happy memories, testing times, action, thrill and hardwork we all have put into #VikramVedha. Doing a little excited-nervous dance in my head today.. as we inch closer to our release date. See you at the cinemas.”
This movie will be hitting the screens in September and Hrithik will be seen reprising Vijay Sethupathi’s role. Radhika Apte is the female lead in this project which is produced jointly by T Series, Reliance Entertainments, Friday Filmworks, Studios Y Not and AP International Films. Let us wait and see if the original film’s magic has been recreated in the Hindi remake or not.
