The person, who is keeping a safe distance from politics, is making political news in Andhra Pradesh today. Yes. We are talking about film actor Junior NTR. Ever since his meeting with BJP strongman Amit Shah, political circles are hotly debating his possible political forays. The most worried political party is without doubt the Telugu Desam Party.
The TDP would stand to lose heavily if NTR becomes active and joins hands with the BJP. This would sow confusion in the minds of the TDP supporters. This would also expose the weaknesses of Lokesh as a public speaker and leader. NTR any day is a charismatic leader, a consummate public speaker and a man with cinematic attraction. Lokesh has none of these qualities.
The YSRCP and the BJP are watching the TDP discomfiture in glee. The TDP has deliberately kept him away from active politics as Chandrababu perceived him to be a threat to Lokesh. Already, there is a strong buzz within the TDP demanding that NTR be given reins of power to rejuvenate the party. Given all this, several TDP leaders may join him if he joins active politics.
As of now, NTR is maintaining a studious silence. He has not given any hint of what he is thinking. He feels he still has several years of active film career. Till then, the politics can wait, he feels. However, there is nothing wrong in keeping the political pot boiling, he and his advisors feel.
