Taliban Gives Another Hammer Blow For Women’s Education!

Women and girls living in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan have another thing to worry about as they were banned from entering Universities. The shocking rule imposed by the Taliban rulers received severe criticism from many countries. Even the activists also slammed the rulers for the decision.

None other than Minister for Higher Education, Neda Mohammad Nadeem said that Women are suspended from Universities. Announcing the same, a letter was sent to all the Universities in the nation to follow the same in his name.

It is said that the Minister urged the Universities to suspend the education of women in the universities with immediate effect. “You all are informed to immediately implement the mentioned order of suspending the education of females until further notice,” the letter reportedly says.

This is the new trouble the Taliban rulers have caused to women for education. Not letting women enter universities stops them from further education. They were also not allowed to do jobs where men are working. With no option left women stopped working in offices and are living in their houses.

Afghanistan has a few famous Universities like Kabul University, Bakhtar University, Kardan University, and others. Not just locals, but students from other nations also study there. Despite all this, women students are not allowed to study in Universities.

This is not the first time Taliban rulers imposed restrictions on women. After taking Afghanistan under their rule, the Taliban rulers said that girls cannot pursue secondary education as they were directed to not enter secondary schools.

Education is a basic right for everyone. The rule was broken after the Taliban rule came into existence. Women are hitting the roads to raise their voices against the restrictions. The other nations are also slamming the Taliban rulers for bringing such rules and restrictions.

Earlier the Taliban rulers said that women will not be stopped from pursuing education. But the reality is something else. Women and girls are facing various restrictions on the dress they should wear on the road. Women were asked to wear a veil when they step out. They were also asked to not visit Gyms And Public Parks. Women should not come out without a man’s companion.
