Popular Dubbing Artist Srinivasa Murthy Passes Away!

It looks like one bad news is hitting Tollywood after another. Hours after we heard the demise of legendary yesteryear actress Jamuna, we are hearing that renowned dubbing artist Srinivasa Murthy has passed away in Chennai. He died due to cardiac arrest leaving his family members in tears.

He is very well known in Telugu and Tamil industries. He has dubbed for various actors like Surya, Vikram, Ajith, Mohanlal, Rajasekhar, Vikram and many others in the last two decades. He dubbed for hundreds of movies but did not get in front of the camera. The entire film industry is mourning over the loss of such an immense talent. They expressed their condolences to his entire family.

His co-dubbing artists have expressed sadness over losing such a person due to heart attack at a very young age. He dubbed for many characters in numerous hit movies and is considered as one of the most successful dubbing artists in the film industry. He even dubbed for Telugu and Tamil versions of Hollywood films like ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise and for Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan as well. He received the Nandi award for his dubbing in 1998.

Srinivasa Murthy dubbed for ‘Vikram’ in ‘Aparichitudu’, Surya in ‘Singam’ series, ’24’, ‘Veedokkade’, ‘Ghazini’ and others, Mohanlal in ‘Janatha Garage’, Jayaram in ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramlo’ and many more movies. He is an expert in giving necessary variations according to the character and he breathed life into many roles through his tremendous work. His services to the industry shall never be forgotten and may his soul rest in peace.
