The suicide attempt of Medico Preethi, following a ragging incident with her senior at Kakatiya Medical college, Warangal has been a burning topic in Telangana for the last few days.
Preethi was being treated at the NIMS college in Hyderabad all the while as her vitals kept deteriorating.
The latest news is that the Telangana government announced that Preethi is no more.
She was with life support for the past few days and best in class equipment was in use for the treatment. But sadly, Preethi has succumbed to the internal damage and she is no more.
The government deployed security forces and police in big numbers at NIMS to avoid any untoward social riots. The announcement of the death was made after the security forces were fully in place.
