Arun Vijay is well known to the Telugu audience through supporting roles in movies like ‘Saaho’ and ‘Bruce Lee’. The versatile actor has a knack for picking up interesting stories at all times and he challenges himself with versatile roles. He is gearing up with an emotional action drama titled ‘Mission: Chapter 1’. Renowned banner Lyca Productions is producing this flick while Vijay is handling the microphone.
The teaser of this film has been dropped today and it looks quite slick. It begins with the mention of Wandsworth prison in London and it is claimed to be a hell. Shots of the prison are shown with an unseen character saying that prisoners from all over the world are holed up there. Amy Jackson is introduced as a prison guard who knows how to tame those who go rogue.
With tensions getting out of control inside the jail, the police resort to physical charge and sealing in order to smother the rogue elements. Arun Vijay makes a dashing entry at this. He looks aggressive and angry, performing daredevil stunts in a dramatic turn of events at the prison. He looks macho and dashing which leaves a positive impression on the viewers.
Amy’s character is seen asking if he is a smuggler, a gangster, or a terrorist. Towards the fag end of the teaser, the emotional core of the movie is introduced when the protagonist’s kid daughter and her tender affection for her father are introduced. The daughter needs a head surgery, while the father is also on treatment. The teaser is action-packed, gripping and emotional as well. ‘Mission: Chapter 1’ has been shot within 70 working days across London and Chennai.
Apart from Arun Vijay and Amy Jackson, Nimisha Sajayan, Abi Hassan, Bharath Bopanna, Baby Iyal, Viraaj S, Jason Shah and others play key roles. Subaskaran is the producer while the script and screenplay is given by A Mahadev. GV Prakash Kumar is the music composer while Sandeep K Vijay is the cinematographer. Stunt Silva is the action choreographer while Anthony is the editor. The release date is yet to be announced.
