Over the past few years, the market for Telugu films grew drastically. The stars have become pan-Indian heroes who are catering to the entire nation and filmmakers are coming up with scripts that need huge budgets and grand canvases. Some of them are collecting record-breaking money at the ticket window. Apart from the big films, there are a few small films that are giving immense happiness to the industry.
‘Samajavaragamana’ is one such movie that is made on a small budget but went on to be a super hit. The movie turned out to be the biggest blockbuster in recent times not just in India but in the overseas market as well. The clean family entertainment brought a lot of people towards theatres it crossed 45 crores already. Coming to overseas, it was bought by the distributors for 25 lakhs and they got 4 crores in return.
People who had the chance to buy the film but backed out due to various reasons are regretting their decision now. Big films with huge budgets demand a lot of money from the distributors. Though they may get good returns, the investment and profit margin is not heavy. But when a small film like ‘Samajavaragamana’ does great, the profit margin is enormous and it gives a lot more satisfaction than big films.
The film’s cast includes Sree Vishnu, Reba Monica John, Naresh, Sudarshan, Sreekanth Iyengar, Vennela Kishore, Raghu Babu, Rajeev Kanakala, Devi Prasad, Priya and others. Bhanu Bogavarapu penned the story, while Nandu Savirigana has written the dialogues. Apart from directing this flick, Ram Abbaraju has penned the screenplay as well. Chota K Prasad is the editor and Brahma Kadali is the art director. Gopi Sundar scored the music.
