Chiranjeevi Aims Arrow At Government Indirectly?

Gone are the days when films used to run for hundred days and more. This generation of kids almost doesn’t know that such a trend existed before. Megastar Chiranjeevi starrer Waltair Veerayya brought the trend back. The makers of the film held a 200-days event in a big way. Megastar Chiranjeevi and Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja took part in the celebrations.

Megastar Chiranjeevi made some interesting comments and reportedly aimed a few arrows at the Andhra Pradesh government. During his speech, Chiranjeevi expressed his dissatisfaction with the interference of the government in industry-related matters and asked why the government is interested in this.

“People like you should get involved in big issues and see that they are achieved. Be it the special category status or the projects we have or the constructions. The projects that feed the poor or provide employment opportunities. If you focus on such issues, everyone will appreciate it. Instead of that, why focus on the industry, sir?” Chiranjeevi said.

Chiranjeevi’s comments created a big sensation. His comments came at a time when a few YSRCP Leaders are targeting Pawan Kalyan on his recent film Bro. Ambati Rambabu has been targeting Pawan Kalyan asking about his remuneration and the taxes he paid for the film.

When so much has been happening, Chiranjeevi made such sensational comments. However, he did not take any names. But the words he used like Special status and the development in the state made many think that he is talking about the Andhra Pradesh government and indirectly targeted it.

Earlier, the Andhra Pradesh government brought the proposal to reduce movie ticket prices in the theatres in the state. This appeared as a hammer blow for the film industry as it was already hit hard by the Covid impact and everything came to a standstill. A delegation led by Chiranjeevi met the Andhra Pradesh government to inform them of the issues they have been facing and sought some help.

Heroes like Power Star and Natural Star Nani openly expressed concerns about the proposal of restricting movie ticket prices. However, the government said that it brought the proposal to make the ticket price affordable to everyone.
