It is quite common for a star hero film to be in the making for 2-3 years these days. Directors like Rajamouli justify such a huge amount of time and money by delivering great cinema. But taking ten years for an action entertainer is quite strange. Chiyaan Vikram is a hero who needs no introduction. He did a lot of versatile characters till date and he began a slick action flick named ‘Dhruva Natchthiram’ back in 2013. After completing a major chunk of the production, the shooting was stopped due to unknown reasons.
Director Gautham Menon too became helpless and started making other movies. After such a long time, the movie is all set to see the light of the day. As a Dasara gift, the first part of this film is going to get released. Ritu Varma is the heroine in the movie but the timing of the release is a bit concerning. In the South, we have Balakrishna’s ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’, Ravi Teja’s ‘Tiger Nageswar Rao’, Vijay’s ‘Leo’ and Shiva Rajkumar’s film releasing at the same time. Competing with them is going to be a big loss for Vikram’s film. All the above-mentioned films have a huge craze and ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’ is arriving after a lot of delays.
The makers are going to take a decision on it soon. They are only targeting the Tamil market as of now. Seven cinematographers worked on this film while Harris Jayaraj is the music composer. The star cast is quite huge and top-notch technicians worked on it but such a big film staying in the lab for a long time is quite sad. The audience have no hopes over it and we need to see if the makers promote it or not.
