Will ‘Eagle’ Team Risk Their Film On Sankranti?

Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja who was unable to satisfy his fans with ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’ is focusing on his next pan-Indian project ‘Eagle’. More than the result of ‘TNR’, releasing the film in the midst of such a huge competition during the Dasara season affected the film and even the distributors agreed to it. If the film had a solo release, it would have collected more and entered the safe zone. Learning from this, the ‘Eagle’ team is reassessing their plans of arriving during the Pongal season.

They cannot withstand huge competition from Mahesh’s Babu’s ‘Guntur Karam’. Other than Mahesh, Venkatesh’s ‘Saindhav’, Vijay’s ‘Family Star’, Teja Sajja’s ‘Hanu-Man’, and Siva Karthikeyan’s ‘Aayalan’ are releasing during the same festive season. It is going to be very tough for ‘Eagle’ team. Republic Day may be a viable option since it is Ravi Teja’s birthday as well. But Hrithik’s ‘Fighter’ and Vikram’s ‘Thangalaan’ are releasing on the same day. As they are dubbing films, there is no need to worry a lot but ‘Eagle’ may not get the required theatres.

If any one of the films withdraws from the Pongal race, they will eye at the Republic Day weekend as well. Right now, the team of ‘Eagle’ is yet to make a decision but sources say that Ravi Teja suggested thinking twice before fixing on 13th January and using ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’ as an example. Let us wait and see what happens.
