Acclaimed singer Arijit Singh, a powerhouse vocalist synonymous with soulful melodies and chart-topping hits in Bollywood, is making a much-anticipated comeback to Telugu cinema. This news has sent a wave of excitement through fans who have been eagerly awaiting his return after a nearly five-year absence.
Singh, a household name across India, has captivated audiences with his versatility, effortlessly transitioning between heart-wrenching love ballads and energetic party tracks. His captivating voice has become an integral part of the Bollywood soundscape, with filmmakers frequently seeking his talents to elevate their projects.
While Telugu audiences may be familiar with Singh’s earlier work in films like “Manam” and “Swamy Ra Ra,” his last recorded song for a Telugu film was for “Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India” in 2018. Now, director Harisha Konganti has confirmed Singh’s return, revealing that the singer has lent his vocals to two tracks for the upcoming movie “Om Bheem Bush.”
Raising expectations even further, Konganti has compared one of the songs to the chart-topping “Undiporadhey” from his directorial debut “Husharu,” suggesting a potential future fan favorite. This collaboration reunites Singh with music composer Sunny MR, who has previously worked with the singer and is confident it will be a delightful experience for audiences to hear Singh’s enchanting voice grace the Telugu screen once again.
“Om Bheem Bush,” slated for release on March 22nd, stars Sree Vishnu, Rahul Ramakrishna, and Priyadarshi in lead roles, with Preethi Mukundhan and Ayesha Khan as the heroines. The film boasts a talented supporting cast featuring Srikanth Iyengar, Aditya Menon, and Racha Ravi. With technical aspects handled by Srikanth Ramisetty (art direction), Raj Thota (cinematography), and Vijay Vardhan (editing), “Om Bheem Bush” promises to be a well-rounded cinematic experience further enriched by Arijit Singh’s musical contribution.
