After making everyone fall in love with him in the west, Lion star Sunny Pawar returned to Mumbai and instantly, his neighbourhood was buzzing with journalists. He, deservingly so, was the star attraction of 89th Academy Awards and same followed him here. Talking to mid-day he said, “It feels wonderful. I am glad to be back with my mother. I can finally go to school and play with my siblings.” When he was asked about his stint at Oscars and his The Lion King moment with host Jimmy Kimmel, he said, “I didn’t understand much of what he [Kimmel] was saying but everyone’s reaction gave me confidence. I saw my father looking happy and Dev bhaiya [Dev Patel] was smiling. I knew this was huge.”
But according to him his favourite moment was meeting his favourite wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. “It was my dream to meet Rock, and I watched a wrestling match live,” he said. And indeed it is true, when I met him last month he had told me his desire to meet his favourite WWE wrestlers and to watch a wrestling match live. And it was finally fulfilled as not just The Rock, he even met Triple H.
