This has to be the new phase of AP politics. It is not from the government that boasted to take charge on the biased media but from the most responsible civil servants aka Collectors of the 13 districts of AP who took a sensational stand against ‘ABN Andhra Jyothi’ that has been a problem to the Telugu people with their one-sided news all these days.
Collectors of 13 districts in the state have issued legal notices to Andhra Jyothi magazine. Three officials, including MD Radhakrishna pf Andhra Jyothi, were issued notices.
State Public Prosecutor Srinivas Reddy has sent legal notices to this effect. District collectors were outraged at the publication of an unsubstantiated news article in the name of the story ‘honey trap’ of two collectors written with proofless allegations and reporting.
The collectors said the system of AP collectors has been ideal for the country. With such a conspiratorial idea on the system of collectors, Andhra Jyothi was incensed on the collectors by attacking with false articles.
Collectors said that they were maliciously cooking up baseless articles to damage their self-confidence. They explained that there was an extensive discussion on these articles even among their families. As their own family members were suffered severely they have took this step against such people who maliciously cook up news.
This is such an appreciable effort from the people in power and in a responsible position. They have been inspirational with this act and the people of AP who are tired with these kinds of news not only from ‘Andhra Jyothi’, but also from other print media and media houses were relived a bit as this step taken by the collectors will fill some fear in the people who are being paid to write such degradable news.
This is definitely a new phase of AP politics nonetheless a game-changing step took by the collectors.
