For the first four days, neither the negative reviews nor the below-average word of mouth stopped the film’s tirade at the box office. That made “Saaho” amass almost 300+ crores gross from the worldwide box office. But the real test started as the Monday holiday of Vinaya Chavithi ended.
If we take the Bollywood collections of Saaho, the film rocked the first weekend with double-digit totals as it made 24, 25, 29 and 14+ crores respectively in the four days. But on Tuesday, the film has fallen to 9+ crores nett, and the figures might go further down until next Saturday. Same is the case with the film in local Telugu circuits too.
On Day 5 (Tuesday) Saaho made pretty lesser collections in Telugu states as well with only 3-4 crores ‘share’. It will be tough to make more than that until the next weekend arrives. As there are no big films around until Nani’s Gang Leader arrives on September 13th, there is plenty of time for Saaho to mint some more figures.
All said and done, the rate with at which the film is collecting now, is not going to be enough to make 277+ crores ‘share’ such that all the distributors will be on safe side.
