Joining the netizens in slamming the advertisement, Bollywood Queen Kangana Ranaut had also found fault with the ad and the actress for appearing in such an ad.Amid the controversy, Actor Bijay Anand, who was seen as Alia Bhatt’s father in the controversial advertisement had responded to the controversy and extended his support to her reel daughter.
Giving reason for this, Bijay Anand said that Alia Bhatt did what her director asked her to do. Actors trust the direction, writing and the entire production team while doing any subject. What we expect from them is that the subject won’t drag us into any sort of controversies, he said.
The actor said that the criticism was a bit bizarre as the advertisement was interpreted wrongly as everyone has their interpretation of things.Giving his interpretation of the advertisement, Bijay Anand said that he is seeing Kanya Maan term as an emphasis to respect the women as every seven minutes, a woman is raped.
Hitting back at people who are trolling Alia Bhatt, the actor asked why can’t the trollers see from a positive angle that Alia Bhatt is asking to respect women, he added.Earlier Kangana Ranaut found fault with the advertisement and appealed to the advertisement to not use religion, majority and minority issues to sell their products.
