Actor Siddharth takes a dig at Nirmala Sitharaman over fuel prices

The fuel prices continue to rise in the country. Indian has witnessed a rise in Petrol and diesel prices for the eighth consecutive day. Petrol has crossed the 100-mark in a few states.

From normal people to critics to various political outfits in the country, several sections have slammed the union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the fuel prices.

Siddharth Suryanarayan, popularly known as Siddharth has joined the protests against the hike in fuel prices and took a jibe at Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

Public interest lawyer in the Supreme Court of India Prashant Bhushan has shared a video of Nirmala Sitharaman in which she has responded to the hike in fuel prices in 2013 and 2020.

In the video, Nirmala Sitharaman has blamed the Union government back in 2013 for the fuel prices, and coming to 2020, Nirmala Sitharaman has put the blame on the oil companies over the price hike.

Sharing the Public interest lawyer’s tweet, Siddharth said Nirmala Sitharaman has the next level of flexibility in her belief system. In his tweet, the actor called the Finance Minister Maami.

“Maami is next level flexible in her belief system. No onions, no memory, no principles. Maami rocks!” the actor’s tweet reads.
