The team of ‘Adipurush’ have endured a lot of negative feedback. They were brutally criticised and trolled when the first teaser came out. Even politicians issued warnings and people made fun of it. Despite all that, they stayed calm, worked on the visuals for the next couple of months and released a trailer that generated a lot of positive buzz. The ‘Jai Shri Ram’ song along with the second trailer brought a lot of hype to the movie.
There is a lot of positivity around ‘Adipurush’ now and fans of Prabhas are expecting to register record-breaking numbers on the first day. Despite all the positivity, there are people who are still commenting something bad about ‘Adipurush’. Recently, actress Kasthuri took to Twitter and expressed her unhappiness over Prabhas sporting a mustache while playing lord Ram’s role. According to her, he looked more like Karna than Rama.
She wrote, “Is there any tradition where Lord Ramji and Laxman are portrayed with a mustache and facial hair? Why this unsettling deviation? Especially in Prabhas’s Telugu filmography, Sri Rama has been impeccably portrayed by legendary actors.” These words have not gone down well with Prabhas fans as they are criticising her on social media. They are asking her to do proper research before commenting on the movie and asked which history book mentions about lord Ram not having a mustache.
While some people are agreeing with her, some others are fighting her on the internet. These discussions constantly happen but the movie is all set to grandly release on 16th June 2023 worldwide. The final cut of ‘Adipurush’ is 179 minutes long and it is quite huge considering the recent films. Prabhas will be seen as lord Ram in this movie. Kriti Sanon will be seen as Sita while Sunny Singh is Lakshmana and Om Raut is the director of this film. Saif Ali Khan played the role of antagonist Lankesh in the movie.
