Actress Yuvika Chaudhary has landed in legal trouble after she made offensive remarks against Scheduled Castes on her vlog. She was arrested under Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 (SC/ST Act) for the same. The Haryana Police granted her interim bail, and she is out now.
The actress’ legal representative, Ashok Bishnoi said that his client has joined the investigation as per the guidelines given by the High Court and she is on interim bail now.
Yuvika was arrested by the Police after Rajat Kalsan, a Dalit rights activist, lodged a complaint against the actress and raised allegations of making objectionable remarks about the SC community in the video.
However, after the video went viral on social media and sparked an uproar, the actress took to Twitter to issue an apology and said that she did not know the meaning of the said word.
