OTT giant Netflix is on a signing spree. The top OTT player recently acquired the Hindi language streaming rights of Rajamouli’s magnum opus, RRR.Now, Netflix has bagged the post theatrical OTT streaming rights of Alia Bhatt’s Ganguai Kathiawadi. They have shelled out big bucks for the post theatrical OTT release rights of the Alia Bhatt starrer.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gangubai is one of the most awaited Bollywood biggies. The film is riding sky high on buzz and anticipation. Netflix had to burn a hole in the pocket to acquire the OTT rights of the Alia Bhatt starrer.
While Gangubai Kathiawadi hits the big screens on the 6th of January, RRR will be releasing on the very next day, 7th October. Both the films feature Alia Bhatt in important roles.
