There’s nearly 3 and a half months time for Allu Arjun and Trivikram’s Ala Vaikunthapuramulo to hit screens for the Pongal festival. But surprisingly, the makers are already launching the film’s first single ‘Samajavaragamana’ today.
Even fans are wondering why the makers are kickstarting the promotions so early. Some are even worried that even though the team launching the first song so early will create the hype it may not sustain until its Sankranthi release. Just to compare, the makers of Sye Raa launched the first single just a week ahead of its release.
On the other hand, Ala Vaikunthapuramulo’s team is leaving no stone unturned to make the song a super hit. They splurged a lot of money and shot a special promotional video featuring composer Thaman and singer Sid Sriram. Penned by legendary lyricist Sirivennela Seetharamasastry, the song is sure to become an instant chartbuster.
Meanwhile, rumour mills are abuzz that Trivikram’s and Allu Arjun’s underwhelming track record over the past couple of years is the main reason behind the early song launch. Naturally, Ala Vaikunthapuramulo will be the underdog in the Sankranthi race, as it’s going to lock horns with Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru.
So the makers seem to be expecting the song to create the required hype either to attract the buyers or instill confidence in them. Well, let’s see if this unique strategy of early song launch helps the film eventually or not.
