Earlier it was thought that even in 2021, we would be witnessing another Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun clash at the box office. In 2020, their movies Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo have clashed in the super season and made most of it. With both movies collecting huge, none of the distributors of these films has lost a thing due to the clash.
However, it looks like next year’s clash is averted as Mahesh Babu hasn’t picked any film yet. Even if he gives dates for Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya, definitely Allu Arjun will not be moving pawns to clash with his uncle. And then, if Mahesh picks up Parasuram’s movie from mid-May, surely that will be wrapped only by Sankranthi 2021, and he won’t go clashing with #RRR. And that makes Mahesh’s next pick February or Summer 2021.
Coming to Allu Arjun, he is now said to be pushing Sukumar to wrap their dramatic film on red sander smugglers by September, such that he could occupy the Dasara 2020 slot. And that is a daunting task for Sukku, because he is known for taking cool time to wrap his movies as he goes for multiple takes and reshoots if the output is not convincing. Lets see what happens.
