The early trends in the Huzurabad by-poll have brought full josh in Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) camp. The reason for this is BJP candidate Etela Rajender being in the lead in the vote counting. 16 rounds were counted so far and as many as 74,175 votes were reportedly polled for him, followed by Gellu Srinivas Yadav with 60.980 votes.
In the middle of the belief that Etela Rajender would win the election with a big margin, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had reportedly called BJP Telangana chief Bandi Sanjay and inquired about the trends and developments in connection with the election.
Media reports say that the phone call lasted for five minutes and Amit Shah showered praises on the state chief on the election trends and also wished the other leaders who worked hard for the party. Amit Shah reportedly asked Bandi Sanjay to brief him on the election updates.
BJP which wants to foray into Telangana had taken the by-election seriously. The plans and campaign activities planned by the T-BJP made wonders for the saffron party and he is leading in terms of votes. Just two rounds are remaining in counting and as of now, Etela Rajender is having a good lead.
