Andhra CMO staff tested positive for Corona?

According to official sources, an employee working on outsourcing basis at Command Control Centre, a driver working in the State Planning department, another employee in the industries department, a service provider working in the Real Time Governance Society the CM’s block and a driver of a senior official in the CMO reportedly tested positive for Corona.

With these five, in all, 10 persons working in the state secretariat tested positive for Covid-19.

Last week, three employees in the state government tested positive for Corona, after they moved to Amaravati along with 220 employees from Hyderabad after the lifting of restrictions on inter-state movement of people.

As a result, the government shut two official blocks in the state secretariat at Velagapudi in Amaravati and asked the employees working in these blocks not to come to the offices.

Earlier, around 225 government employees, stranded in Hyderabad since the beginning of the lockdown, returned to AP in special buses arranged by the APSRTC. As part of the mandatory health protocol, they were all tested for Covid-19.

Three of them, including a Secretariat employee, tested positive. The medical and health department authorities identified primary contacts of these three employees and shifted them to various quarantine centres.
