Andhra Pradesh cancels 10th, Inter exams finally

The Andhra Pradesh government which was adamant to conduct the Class 10 and Intermediate exams in the state has taken a U-turn and announced the cancellation of the exams on Thursday.

The State Education Minister Audimulapu Suresh held a press meeting and said that the examinations have been cancelled. The decision was taken to see that no student will have issues appearing for the exams.

The decision was taken at a high level meeting chaired by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the wake of Supreme Court directing the government to take a call on the exams by today evening.

“More details on how the marks allocation would be done will be announced soon. A committee will be constituted to deal with this very soon, the Minister said.

Earlier today, the Supreme court heard a petition on the exams conduction and directed the government to decide on the exams by Thursday evening.
