Andhra Pradesh Has To Lose Hope on Special Category?

The Special Category status is one thing every person in Andhra Pradesh wants to see. Sadly, the Union government has other plans and every time the government is showing empty hands. Yet again, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Union Government showed empty hands to Andhra Pradesh.

Minister of State for Home Affairs of India Nityanand Rai sang the same tune the union government has been singing and called the special category a closed issue. The Union Cabinet Minister said this inside the Parliament responding to TDP MP Ram Mohan Naidu’s question.

This is not the first time, the Union government cleared its hands on the issue. On multiple occasions, the government dis that, and yet again it followed the same. The special category which was announced by the previous union government will d wonders as more and more industries will come which would develop the state.

The previous Andhra Pradesh government led by TDP failed to get the same from the union government. Now the current government is also doing the same. Despite being friendly to BJP and extending support to every bill it is tabling, BJP is not considering the long-pending request.

End of the day, it is the state which will face the issues without the special category. The parties will lose nothing and the state will face the issues. The BJP saying that the issue is a closed matter proves that Andhra Pradesh has to lose hope of getting a special category.
