It is known that pro and anti campaigning is going on the issue of anointing CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s photo with milk by Anganwadi workers. Audio messages sent by officials and union leaders asking for the CM’s photo to be anointed were widely circulated on Tuesday. These took place in Kadapa, Chittoor, Prakasam, Visakhapatnam and other districts.
District officials have directed the supervisors in their area to anoint the CM photo for giving smartphones and promotions to Anganwadi workers as Grade-2 supervisors. But, the officials said to have received opposition from the workers as they feel that none of their demands has been resolved and money is being debited for smartphones.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting released a statement on WhatsApp on Tuesday evening saying that Anganwadi workers in several parts of the state had been anointed to paint the CM. But the post has been removed after some time.
