Dil Raju is a relieved man as he started off the year with a bang with F2. Last year was a forgettable one for the ace producer who suffered back to back disasters with Lover and Srinivasa Kalyanam.
F2 has cleared all his frustration and he is in a fun mood now. F2 director Anil Ravipudi who made three films in a row in Venkateswara Creations interviewed Raju exclusively for us.
Dil Raju recalled that Anil Ravipudi never narrated full script to him.
“You tell some idea and come up with a few scenes later, but you never narrated complete script to me. However, you are a fun director to work with. I never had a single problem with you. I usually have arguments and difference of opinions with my directors, but I never faced such situation with you,” Dil Raju said to Anil.
Raju also explained the hardships of distributors and exhibitors and how few people sensationalize trivial things without proper planning.
“How can you release another film (Petta) when there are three big films lined up for Sankranthi? How can you blame others for your bad planning?” Dil Raju hasn’t mince with the words.
“Distributors would soon perish and producers themselves should release the movies on their own in near future. Tollywood is going Bollywood way,” Dil Raju observed.
