It is not just our star heroes who are enjoying the pan Indian craze lately as we have a lot of our Telugu directors making their way into Bollywood. We have seen Sandeep Reddy Vanga making his debut with Arjun Reddy here and remaking the same in Hindi as Kabir Singh. He is now making Animal with Ranbir Kapoor and Spirit with Prabhas. Both are being made on a pan Indian scale. Gautham Thinnanuri who made his mark with Jersey has directed the Hindi version too. Rajamouli became a huge brand in Bollywood post Baahubali and his upcoming film RRR is arriving with a huge buzz.
We all know that dashing director Puri Jagannadh who made his Hindi directorial debut with Buddha Hoga Tera Baap is getting ready with the pan Indian film Liger with Vijay Devarakonda. Sources say that another talented director is all set to set foot in the Bollywood arena now. He is none other than Harish Shankar who is known for his commercial entertainers. Harish is widely known for his movies like Mirapakay Gabbar Singh DJ and Gaddalakonda Ganesh. He is currently working on the script of Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh which will be made with Pawan Kalyan.
He recently announced that he will be bringing a web series titled ATM in association with Dil Raju and Zee Studios. The shooting will kickstart soon. After that Harish Shankar will reportedly enter Bollywood with the remake of his own film Duvvada Jagannadham DJ. Dil Raju who bankrolled it in Telugu will be producing it in Hindi too. The official announcement is yet to be made and a popular young hero from Mumbai will be playing the lead. Sources say that Harish Shankar made a lot of changes in the script to suit the Hindi nativity too. We need to wait till the official news comes out.
Harish Shankar made his directorial debut with Ravi Tejas Shock which was a failure. After working with Puri Jagannadh as an associate he scored his first hit film as a director with Mirapakay. Ravi Teja was the one who gave him second chance too but Harish became a star director with Powerstar Pawan Kalyans blockbuster movie Gabbar Singh. He proved his stamina with that film and barring Ramayya Vastavayya all his movies were commercial hits.
