Is a section of the BJP in Telangana trying to jeopardise Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Aravind’s political future? It is being said that a section is working against him and is trying to pin him down.
BJP insiders say that Aravind has a fail chance of becoming a central minister. The party, which is eyeing Telangana in the next assembly elections, wants to give more representation to Telangana in the Central government. Hence one of the four MPs could be made a minister. There is a talk of Central cabinet rejig is being talked out.
Since Kishan Reddy is already a minister and Bandi Sanjay is the state BjP president, only Aravind or Adilabad MP Soyam Bapu Rao could be made a minister. A section of the party, which is unhappy with the rise of Aravind in the party, is trying to promote the candidature of Soyam Bapu Rao. The argument is that by making him a minister, the BJP can send a positive signal to the tribals.
Insiders say that Aravind is unhappy with this section. He is said to be upset by this campaign. However, he has decided to keep his cool for now and wait for the right time.
