It is known that star couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have been fiercely protective of their daughter Vamika’s privacy and they didn’t even reveal the face of the kid to fans and followers to date. However, during the third ODI against South Africa, the cameras in the stadium revealed the face of Vamika, when Virat hit a half-century and celebrated the knock.
As the picture of their daughter went viral on the internet, both Anushka and Virat have now issued a statement urging people to respect their stance on Vamika’s privacy. The couple on Monday requested the media to not publish Vamika’s pictures, saying photos of the baby shown by broadcasters was a case of being “taken off guard”.
“Hi, guys! We realise that our daughter’s images were captured at the stadium yesterday and widely shared thereafter,” Kohli and Anushka wrote in an Instagram story.
“We want to inform everyone that we were caught off guard and didn’t know that the camera was on us. Our stance and request on the matter stay the same. We would really appreciate if Vamika’s images are not clicked/ published for reasons we have explained earlier. Thank you!” the duo added.
