AP Assembly Sessions: CM Jagan Moves Privilege Motion Against TDP Legislator

The confrontation between the ruling YSRCP and opposition TDP in the winter sessions of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly continued for the fourth straight day. This development in the house became the much talked about issue.

On the fourth day of Assembly sessions, the Assembly had a discussion over the pensions issues. Things escalated in the house quickly that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy moved a privilege motion against TDP legislator Nimmala Rama Naidu.

After the Chief Minister moved the privilege motion against Nimmala Rama Naidu, Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram referred the motion to the House Privileges Committee.

With the TDP leaders continue to create a ruckus in the house, the Speaker suspended eight legislators from the Assembly for a day. Other than Rama Naidu, TDLP deputy leader K. Atchannaidu, Ramakrishna Babu, Mantena Ramaraju, Anagani Satya Prasad, Veeranjaneyulu, Ashok Bendalam, and Jogeswara Rao were suspended from the Assembly.

When the YSRCP leaders are responding to the questions raised by the opposition TDP leaders, Nimmala Rama Naidu interrupted the house and targeted the ruling party over the pension issues.

Responded to this, CM Jagan found fault with the TDP legislator and said Nimmala Rama Naidu is misleading the Assembly by purposefully creating a ruckus in the house. With the TDP leader not letting the proceedings go further, CM Jagan moved a privilege motion.
