The Andhra Pradesh government on Monday has given the green signal for the use of a remedy developed locally by Krishnapatnam Ayurveda expert Bonigi Anandaiah for Covid-19 treatment.
The government has given clearance for the P, L and F medicines made by Anandaiah, while it prevented him from distributing the medicine K, which is popularly known as eye drops for Covid-19 care.
According to the CCRAS report, the state government found no harmful ingredients used in the preparation of medicines. However, further reports regarding the eye drop medicine are yet to come. As per the update, the reports regarding eye drops may take another 2–3 weeks to reach the government.
While approving the herbal medicines of Anandaiah, the state government has appealed to the people to continue using other medicines, not only confining to Ayurvedic medicine developed by Anandaiah.
