An anonymous private organization from the USA has come forward to lend money to the government of Andhra Pradesh for the development of the state. This comes as a surprise, given that no national organization is keen on loaning money to the AP government, as they don’t see any way the government could pay them back.
Simply put, all national organizations are considering the state of Andhra Pradesh to be a bad investment right now, one that doesn’t yield many profits. With the sudden entry of an anonymous private organization from the US, everyone started to wonder why this organization is interested in investing money in the state. What could the motive be?
The government of Andhra Pradesh is jumping at this opportunity, because they are in dire need of money right now. Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy even met with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman to get her permission for this donation. The donation or loan, is a whopping Rs. 65 thousand crores, which is all the more alarming.
The YSRCP had condemned ex-Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for depending a lot on taking loans when his government was at the helm, but the same YSRCP is now saying that there’s nothing wrong in taking loans for someone, for the betterment of the people.
This is where the real question lies: is the government taking the money for the betterment of the people, or for its own publicity in the state? The publicity of a party does not help the people in any way, and is an absolute waste of money. It would be foolish of any government to take money for their publicity because it would be better if they spent from their own pockets for this kind of stuff, instead of putting the load on the state.
On the other hand, Finance Minister Buggana trashed all the calculations that TDP member Yanamala Ramakrishnudu made about the financial position of Andhra Pradesh. Buggana said that Andhra Pradesh is doing just fine. Buggana also once again questioned why it was wrong to accept a donation from a private organisation.
All things considered, there’s something definitely weird about a private organisation donating a huge amount of money to the state of Andhra Pradesh. Looks like the government is hiding something.
