AP Govt to provide 10 percent discount on Mobiles on Women’s Day

International Women’s Day falls on the eighth of this month, ie on Monday. Women’s Day is celebrated across the globe for the achievements of women in various fields, and also for the rights of women.

Marking the occasion, the Andhra Pradesh government has decided to provide a 10 percent discount on Mobile Phones purchased on March Eight. This offer applies to only the users of the Disha app.

However, the offer will be made available at the selected shops in the state. The concerned authorities have been directed by the Chief Minister to arrange 2,000 stands across the state with the QR Code of the Disha app for the downloads.

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had also directed the authorities to create awareness among women on Disha App. Women working in Police Department should be given special leave on Women’s day, the CM ordered.

On the other hand, the Chief Minister had also agreed to give five casual leaves to women employees, while the Non-Gazette women employees would be given Rs 5 lakhs from the govt end.

Short Film Festivals should be conducted to create awareness of women’s safety and empowerment. Two women constables should be felicitated from every wing based on their achievements, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said.
