AP HC questions TDP’s Rs 10 crore ‘Dharma Porata Deeksha’?

The Andhra Pradesh High Court expressed shock over previous TDP government’s ‘Dharma Porata Deeksha’ in New Delhi. If we go back in time, then AP CM Chandrababu Naidu staged a protest in the national capital on February 11th demanding ‘Special Status’ to Andhra Pradesh.

Chandrababu has invited many national leaders across the country and in solidarity, many expressed their concern for AP’s ‘Special status’ demand. But this protest was organized at a cost of Rs 10 crore to the government’s treasury.

Regarding the same, a petition has been filed in the AP High Court and the advocate on behalf of the petitioner claimed that this protest was done only to gain political advantage and a lot of public money went waste with it.

After listening to the arguments, the High Court enquired about the official who passed on the G.O. to release funds for the protest. “Under which rule was this G.O. was passed and what is purpose of spending such huge amount for a protest,” asked the High Court.

The court also asked to provide complete details of the G.O. and postponed the case to November 21st.

‘Dharma Porata Deeksha’ did not yield any result for TDP. In fact it worked the other way for the party in the elections. What will TDP have to say on the AP High Court’s questions? Will any TDP leader come forward and say something on ‘Dharma Porata Deeksha’? Too many questions!
