The opposition Telugu Desam Party(TDP) party which has taken the upcoming Panchayat elections is working vigorously on exploring all the possible options to woo the voters.Days ahead of the Local Body elections, TDP supremo, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nara Chandrababu Naidu released the election manifesto for the polls on Thursday.
TDP named the manifesto Palle Pgarathi-Pancha Sutralu. The manifesto offers five principles intending to offer effective and good governance in the villages.
These are five principles mentioned in TDP’s election manifesto
1.Safe, Free drinking water for households
2.Promise of safety- peace
3.Preventing the attacks on temples and protecting the properties of the public
4.As part of the Self-sufficiency program, fighting against the meters for Agricultural fields.
5.Property taxes will be reduced and civil supplies will be provided. Developing ideal villages by maintaining purity and cleanliness.
Chandrababu Naidu severely opposed the idea of winning the Panchayats unanimously. He questioned, how come the winning percentage of the unanimous poll has increased in the state in the past six years.
Back in 2014, 2.6 percent of Mandal Parishad territorial constituencies (MPTCs) claimed the polls unanimously. Coming to 2020, the percent has gone up to over 20 percent.He urged the youth to be a part of development works in the villages and requested the people to cast their votes in the polls without missing.
