The new Cabinet of Andhra Pradesh which was announced the other day was formed earlier today. The legislators who were taken into the Cabinet took oath today. Many aspirants, mainly the senior leaders, had to suffer a shock as they were not taken into the new Cabinet team.
Not just the seniors, the likes of Kodali Nani and Perni Nani who held Civil Supplies and Cinematography Ministries in the previous Cabinet were not retained in the new Cabinet.
One wonders why they were not retained. Speaking to the media, the two Nanis said that they were happy with what Jagan had decided and made it clear that no matter what the Chief Minister decides they will follow it and support the Chief Minister.
Though the Nanis gave a diplomatic answer on losing the Cabinet post in the new team, deep down they also know that if Jagan takes any decision then there is no stepping back no matter what. Forget about others, even Jagan’s relative Balineni was also not retained. This shows how staring Jagan is.
The duo was informed prior that they will not get a Cabinet post. To compensate, they will be given a plum post that matches their capabilities, reports say. Instead of losing the posts, they thought of saying yes to what the Chief Minister said. In a way, the two Nanis sounded diplomatic even though they knew that they might get a good position.
