Telangana CM KCR made strange comments that whatever information he has, Andhra Pradesh is likely to be divided into 25 districts. In budget sessions of Telangana assembly, Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy raked up the issues of districts. He added that Telangana has 33 districts which were pointlessly divided and made districts.
Countering Komatireddy’s comments, KCR said, in the country all the states are forming new districts. It was only erstwhile Andhra Pradesh that did not establish new states. After our government forming new districts, a few Congress leaders argued and a few supported. Congress party is confused and so are their leaders.
Then KCR raked up Andhra Pradesh issue. “From whatever I have spoken to AP CM YS Jagan, their government is planning to form 25 districts. New districts are being formed only for the sake of efficient governance and there is nothing related to politics,” said KCR.
This is unexpected and so far not even once YSRCP government talked about new districts openly. In the past there had been reports that Jagan is planning to make the 13 districts into 17 but after that there was no update till date. There is another report that for Ugadi, there might be an update.
