Marvelous actor Madhavan is known for his knack for picking up interesting and challenging stories. The versatile actor is now back again with ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ which is based on a true story. This time, Madhavan wrote, produced and directed this film along with acting in it. The trailer of this film came out back in April 2021 but the release got postponed till date.
It will be released on July 1st worldwide but it was screened at Cannes Film Festival recently. It impressed a lot of people and Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman was one of them. He took to Twitter and wrote, “Just watched Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. Take a bow Madhavan for bringing a new voice to Indian cinema.” Madhavan and AR Rahman worked together on many films like ‘Sakhi’, ‘Yuva’, ‘Guru’, ‘Rang De Basanti’ and others.
The film is about Nambi Narayanan who is an arrogant genius. He was an ISRO scientist and an aerospace engineer who gets caught in the middle of power politics. The hurdles and insults he faced in life whilst he was nothing but patriotic towards the nation form the complete story.
Many top actors including Gulshan Grover, Ravi Raghavendra and others played key roles while stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya played special cameos. It will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Also, this film was shot in various Indian locations as well as abroad.
We need to see how this biographical drama works out at the box office. Tricolour Films and Varghese Moolan Pictures produced this film which is filled with a lot of emotions and drama. Madhavan would have delivered a terrific performance as expected and we will get to know more about it once the movie hits the screens.
