The bail petition of Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan came up for the hearing on Wednesday before a special court in Mumbai. Both Aryan Khan’s lawyer and the lawyer representing the Narcotics Control Bureau(NCB) had appeared before the Court and placed their arguments.
As directed by the special court, the NCB had filed its response in the case in which the agency reportedly said that Aryan Khan had earlier got Contraband from another accused in the case, Arbaaz Merchant.
The NCB sleuths told the special court that, during their investigation, they had looked into the WhatsApp Chats of Aryan Khan who chatted with a foreign nation. During the conversation, they had discussed the procurement of drugs and payment.
Placing their arguments, the NCB said that they have to probe deeper into the chats to get more details. We are exploring ways to get hold of the foreign national. We sought help from the external affairs ministry in this regard, the drugs agency said.
Adding further, the NCB told the special court that if any accused in the case are released, the investigation process might be hindered and the witnesses can be influenced. Hence they should be given bail.
After hearing the arguments of both sides, the special court had adjourned the hearing in the case to Thursday. As the hearing was pushed to one day further, Aryan Khan was sent to custody again.
