Aryan Khan to get up at 6am with other inmates, will be served jail food only

Aryan Khan’s bail plea was turned down by Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) RM Nerlikar and now the star son is lodged at Arthur Road jail. He has been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody. Aryan and five others will be stationed in barrack number 1, which is a special quarantine barrack on the first floor of the jail. He will be kept in quarantine for five days.

According to a report on Indiatoday.com, Aryan Khan and others have tested negative and have taken both doses of Covid-19 vaccines. Aryan Khan will reportedly be treated like other inmates and will have to wake up by 6 am. By 7 am breakfast is served, 11 am lunch is served and by 6pm dinner is served. While breakfast usually includes sheera-poha, lunch and dinner include chapati, sabzi, dal and rice. Until a court order comes through, Aryan Khan will not get home cooked food. However they are allowed to take extra food from the canteen by paying extra money. According to reports, most prisoners dine by 8 pm and keep the plate with themselves.

In his closing argument, Aryan Khan’s lawyer Satish Manshinde had defended him stating, “I am a 23 yr old with no prior antecedents. I am from respectable family, my parents, siblings are here. I hold Indian passport. I have roots in the society, cannot abscond. There is no question of tampering of evidence or accused. The electronic evidence is taken, the other accused are in custody.” According to the lawyer, no banned substance was recovered from Aryan Khan and that he was simply attending the bash as a VVIP invitee.
