Producer Ashwini Dutt who once produced super hit films under Vyjayanthi Movies banner incurred heavy losses after incessant debacles.
His daughters established a new production house called Swapna Movies to make small to medium range movies. But their experiments too turned futile.
Yevade Subramanyam made under Swapna Movies with Nani that marked Ashwini Dutt’s son-in-law Nag Ashwin’s directorial debut went onto become a sleeper hit.
Recently, Nag Ashwin delivered smashing hit with Mahanati, a biopic on glorious actress Savitri. Everyone including megastar Chiranjeevi appreciated Ashwin and the rest of the film unit.
Apparently, Ashwini Dutt too is pleased with his daughters and son-in-law for making a memorable film which has won critical accolades besides becoming a commercial success at ticket window.
In the meantime, there were reports that Chiranjeevi and NTR signed one film each for Vyjayanthi Movies banner.
Inside talk is Ashwini Dutt is keen to make films with Nag Ashwin directing star and successful heroes.
Earlier, producers like Ramanaidu, Allu Aravind etc, introduced their sons as heroes as they were not happy to pay heavy remuneration to established heroes.
Likewise, Ashwini Dutt too is wishing his son-in-law to take up the task to direct as many as possible movies for his production house. This indeed will reduce cost in terms of pay for directors.
It is known that top directors in industry are demanding around Rs 10 to Rs 20 Cr pay per a film.
If Chiranjeevi and NTR will really sign projects under Ashwini Dutt’s production house, Nag Ashwin would direct at least one of them or maybe both.
Meanwhile, Nag Ashwin is presently fine tuning the script for his immediate project with his Yevade Subrahmanyam hero Nani.
