Young hero Naga Shaurya said he has never done an emotional and intense film like ‘Aswathama’ and in a way it is a special film to him.
With ‘Aswathama’ up for release this Friday, Shaurya is busy with promotions and as part of it, he interacted with the press.
”As everyone knows that this film is based on true events, none would believe such crimes do occur. It happened to one of my friend’s sister and I took their permission to make a feature film,” said Shaurya.
When asked why he did not direct the movie despite penning the story, he replied that direction was never in his mind during the scripting stages.
‘While writing ‘Aswathama’ script, I learned many things like to be responsible towards society, parents and even small things which matter big,” said Shaurya sounding like a matured person.
Also on the genre, Shaurya stated that generally we do hear that racy thrillers like ‘Khaidi’ and ‘Rakshasudu’ don’t come in Telugu. ‘Aswathama’ will be a perfect reply for those want such films.
About director Ramana Teja, Shaurya added our wavelength matched and his inputs during the pre-production and production stages were very valuable. He is a promising a talent.
Also about the action episodes, he said, the film deserves such risk and so I’ve decided to do them on my own instead of depending on ropes and body-doubles. Thankfully they paid off.
‘Aswathama’ is a production of Ira Creations.
