At least someone’s daughter got justice: Nirbhaya’s mother

The scars of 2012 rape in New Delhi are still visible on the victim’s mother. The culprits of this crime are not yet punished and it’s been seven years.

Reacting on encounter of Disha’s rapists, Nirbhaya’s mother Asha Devi said, “I’m happy that at least someone’s daughter got justice. This incident is a small relief to the wounds I have. I’m fighting against my daughter rape and murder for the last seven years. Still there is no breakthrough in the case.”

Appreciating the encounter, she said, “Disha’s parents will be partly in relief. This incident will definitely induct fear in those who want to do crime against women.”

Further Asha Devi said, “I’m still roaming around the courts. The case will come for another hearing on December 13th. This time I will urge the court to do justice for my daughter.”
