The unthinkable has finally happened. Telugu film Baahubali : The Conclusion (dubbed into Hindi, Tamil) has been crowned as the Highest Grossing Indian film in just six days. The SS Rajamouli’s directorial, which released on April 28 world-wide, has earned gross of Rs 792 Cr (close to Rs 800 Crore) in 6 days and beaten the full-run world-wide record of Aamir Khan’s PK (2014) which had earned gross of Rs 743 Crore. This in turn, Baahubali : The Conclusion has also beaten Aamir’s Dangal record of Rs 712 Crore.
In India alone, Baahubali : The Conclusion grossed – 624 Cr apprx (First film to GROSS over 600 crore). Both Bahubali (2015) and Dangal (2016) managed to cross Rs 500 crore and are the only films to do so in India. In Overseas, Baahubali : The Conclusion grosses USD 26 million apprx (168 crore). And it stands in the sixth place as far as Overseas business goes for Hindi films after six days.
However, Baahubali 2 record is cumulative (includes Telugu, Tamil and Hindi) whereas PK and Dangal were just Hindi films. The Hindi version of Baahubali : The Conclusion alone is still a long way to go as it stands at around 375 Cr (world-wide gross) after six days whereas PK ( Rs 743 Crore ) and Dangal (Rs 712 Crore).
Including all 3 languages, Baahubali : The Conclusion stands as Highest Grossing Indian film after six days with Rs 792 Crore (world-wide gross cumulative figure). Trade pundits are closely observing on where the film is going to finish in its full-run. It’s expected to cross Rs 1000 Crore world-wide gross (all languages) within 10 days. (four more days left).
