Baahubali Effect: Budget Hike For Uyyalawada?

The impact of Baahubali on film industry is so much that makers of each and every biggie are now revising the earlier allotted budgets in order not to fall behind the standards of grandeur set by the Rajamouli directorial.

As per latest updates, Megastar Chiranjeevi has advised his son and producer of his 151st film, Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy to increase the budget. As the film is a historical project and taking the market of Chiru into account, Charan had earlier fixed Rs 100 crore budget for the film. Now it seems that it may go up to 130 crore. Chiru has reportedly suggested Charan to spend substantially on production design and not bother about his remuneration.

The historical film already needed grand sets but after Chiru’s latest decision, the canvas, grandeur and scale of the project will go up. The film was supposed to go on floors in August but it may now be delayed by 1-2 months more. Good amount of time is being spent on pre-production to meet the high expectations of present generation audiences who expect Indian films to be on par with their Hollywood counterparts.

Plans are also underway to release the film in Tamil and Hindi as the film’s subject deals with a freedom fighter.
