Bad news for Jagan Mohan Reddy and his family!

The COVID-19 virus is spreading at an effective speed in Andhra Pradesh as tens of cases are being reported every day from all corners of the state. This spread of the virus has now affected the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s house which fell under buffer zone.

The Indian health care department classified the corona affected areas into three zones. The area where a large number of cases were reported and the 1km radius around it was considered as Red Zone and the area within a 3km radius from the Red Zone is known as the Containment cluster. The 7km perimeter around the containment cluster is termed as ‘Buffer Zone’.

In Guntur district alone, 122 cases COVID-19 positive were registered and Jagan’s home in that district fell under buffer zone. Testing for any cases of ILI (Influenza-like Illness) and SARI (Severe Acute Respiratory Illness) with proper orientation of all health facilities are being undertaken in this buffer zone.

Special teams have been set up to trace all contacts as well as house to house surveys are being conducted by health staff, local revenue staff, corporation staff, Red Cross, NSS, NYK and other ward volunteers.
