A petition filed by rebel YSRCP MP K Raghu Rama Krishna Raju, seeking cancellation of AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s bail in a quid pro quo case has been heard in a CBI court.
We know principal special judge BR Madhusudan Rao of CBI courts directed to file its counter regarding this petition. During the hearing of the case on May 7, the lawyers of Jagan and CBI officials sought time to file a counter in this cancellation of bail plea case.
The court had given ten more days and posted the next hearing to May 17 (today). However, as both the parties failed to file the counter, the CBI court has now given the last chance to file their counter by May 26 and adjourned the next hearing to the designated date.
Jagan Mohan Reddy was arrested in May 2012 in the DA case when he was a Member of Parliament. In 2013, the special CBI court had granted conditional bail to the CM, after he spent 16 months in jail.
