TDP’s Ex MLA and close associate of Nandamuri Balakrishna Kadiri Babu Rao is all set to leave TDP and likely to join YCP. Kadiri Babu Rao, the former MLA of Kanigiri, has met CM YS Jagan and said to have got the latter’s nod for his formal entry into YSRCP.
Going into details, Kadiri Babu Rao has been quite upset with the developments in the party and how he has been sidelined. While Babu Rao had tried for Kanigiri MLA ticket, party had offered him Darsi ticket. Though Babu Rao had tried hell bent for Kanigiri ticket, all his attempts had turned futile. Even Balayya’s recommendation too didn’t work then. With no other option, Babu Rao had contested from Darsi and he had lost to YCP candidate. Meanwhile TDP’s Ugra Narasimha Reddy who had contested from Kanigiri had also lost to YCP’s Burra Madhu Sudhan Yadav by 40,668 votes.
Speaking to the media, Kadiri said he was betrayed by Chandrababu. “I’m in TDP since its inception for nearly 34 years. Yet I was deceived. In the 2014 elections even though I got offers from YSRCP, I stuck to TDP because of the friendship of Nandamuri Balakrishna. I contested from Kangiri 2014 but in the 2019, I was shifted to Darshi constituency. Unwillingly I contested and lost. Chandrababu lured with many things,” said Kadiri.
The ex-MLA added that Balakrishna is innocent and someday Chandrababu will also betray NBK too. “I joined YSRCP without expecting anything from Jagan. I know he keeps up his words and I will work towards strengthening party in the future.
