If there is any hero who brought immense craze to the factionist roles in movies, it is definitely Nandamuri Balakrishna. Though many other heroes portrayed such roles, Balakrishna is synonymous for such power-packed roles. He created records with ‘Samara Simha Reddy’, ‘Narasimha Naidu’ and others.
His last outing as a factionist was ‘Chenna Keshava Reddy’ which wasn’t a huge hit but still is one of the most memorable films in his career. It has been nearly two decades since that film got released and his fans are still waiting for him to do a factionist role. Talk in town is that Balayya is going to make the dreams of his fans come true.
Director Gopichand Malineni who scored a super hit with ‘Krack’ is doing a film with Balakrishna. Sources say that the story takes place in Palnadu area and has a factionism touch to it. News is that Balakrishna will be seen as a factionist for a brief period in this action entertainer. Movies made with factionism backdrop are a rare entity these days but Malineni is reportedly trying to bring back the vintage Balayya look.
Mythri Movie Makers will be bankrolling this project which is in the pre-production stage. Sources say that the official announcement will be coming out on June 10th which is Balayya’s birthday. The senior hero is currently busy with Boyapati Sreenu’s ‘Akhanda’.
